Peering Policy

GIZO maintains an open peering policy and actively seeks to peer with networks that exchange meaningful traffic volumes. We peer at NAPAfrica in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Requirements

  • Maintain a publicly routable ASN
  • Register routes in an IRR database (AFRINIC preferred)
  • Maintain up-to-date PeeringDB record
  • Operate a 24/7 NOC reachable by email
  • Exchange a minimum of 10 Mbps sustained traffic
  • Only announce routes that are legitimately originated
